An enlarged prostate can cause premature ejaculation. As you know, the prostate stores and produces 95% of what comes out of you during ejaculation. So, premature ejaculation depends on the size of the prostate. The bigger it is, the easier you ejaculate whether spontaneously or not.

Have you ever tried prostate massage? It is an ancient therapy used 8,000 years ago to better sexual health. Massage can reduce the size of the enlarged prostate.

Some people find relief from the symptoms of prostate problems. This is how you can massage your own prostate. You can do this at home. Make sure that your finger is clean to prevent bacterial transmission. Lubricate your index finger with a water-based lubricant. If you are not comfortable, then use a cot to cover the index finger. Then insert your finger about 1.5 inches into your rectum. Try to go as far as possible until you feel a walnut-sized gland. Gently rub back and forth on the prostate. Gradually increase the pressure without inflicting any pain. The gland then releases excess secretions and minimizes the size for temporary relief.

If you have an inflamed prostate, massage gently the surrounding muscles to improve the circulation to the gland. This reduces the inflammation. You may feel the pain initially. So, try to bear the pain as much as you can.

If you are in doubt, you can always consult your urologist for the correct procedure. Improper massage may further irritate your prostate.

Every week, examine the conditions of your prostate the same way you massage it. Do this often to establish a yardstick for the size and the elasticity of your prostate. You should be able to notice any abnormal changes each time you examine your prostate. If you find it very hard, enlarged, or painful, then you have a prostate problem.

If you have not done prostate massage before, get a professional massage first. Usually, a urologist can massage your prostates. Make sure your prostates are free from any infection. A sample of your urine or expressed fluid will be examined under a microscope for any presence of bacteria. Please consult your doctor first before you have the massage.
